30 April Recorded Service

Good Morning,

A quick message about the livestream of the service at St Salvator’s Chapel on Sunday past, 30 April.  If you were watching it, you will have found it stopped after about 15 minutes or so.  We’re really sorry about that – the computer unaccountably crashed at that point.  But what the wonderful student tech team did was, as quickly as possible, get the system up and running to record the rest of the service, video and audio.  That recording has now been added to the first 15 minutes to make a nearly-full service on the youtube channel.  You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czG9-URu780&list=PLkZBIZv_vTvnOyaMIGVwddrC1u_atfxxP&index=3

Apologies for the problems on Sunday, and I hope you enjoy the service even if a little bit later than usual.  There was a fine, powerful sermon from Revd Canon Dr Rachel Mann, and wonderful music from the Chapel Choir.  The sermon was on ‘I am the Gate’ – the Outrageous Grace of Jesus Christ.  And the cover of the order of service featured one of St Andrews’ oldest gates, the West Port, snapped by me on the day I walked through it in the last few minutes of the five days I spent walking the Fife Pilgrim Way, in 2020.

We very much hope we’ll be livestreaming normally this Sunday 7 May at 11 am – but please forgive us if problems persist.  You’ll find the livestream here: https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/chaplaincy/worship/

Yours,

Donald.
