Good morning,
A week from Christmas, our Advent Calendar encounters the Magi, people who studied the stars for portents as to life on earth. The picture is of the Magi on rather fine horses, following the star in the top left. It is by Jorge Barrados from 1945, and is painted on tiles, and found in Portugal’s National Tile Museum in Lisbon. It is called Os Reis Magos (The Wise Men).
Distant star-gazers
saw a change in the heavens
and found earth transformed
